Founded as Universal Press Syndicate, Andrews McMeel Universal diversified and began publishing humor, self-improvement books, syndicated columns and cartoons. The new mark uses the letter U for Universal – the one word common to both the old and new names – and two added eyes make the letter into a face. The simple, whimsical solution is used across all divisions, including Andrews McMeel Publishing, Universal Press Syndicate, Uclick and Amuse, and provides a symbol of quality to 125 syndicated creators and writers.
