Bank of America / Durst Organization

Working closely with the architects Cook+Fox, C&G Partners created a sign program for the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in New York City, a state of the art theater housed behind a restored landmark facade. The journey from street-level to the orchestra three stories below has been designed as a choreographed descent, accented with artifacts from the theater’s original interiors and concise, well-placed wayfinding. Signs are held in place with the same clips that hold artifact fragments, and lighting echoes the lighting for the objects. The theater was done as part of the firm’s engagement with the Durst Organization on the One Bryant Park/Bank of America Tower project.
