Throughblock Passage
As part of the firm’s work creating signs and environmental graphics for the platinum-LEED One Bryant Park complex, the firm created two large-scale interpretive murals for a pedestrian through-block next to the Stephen Sondheim Theatre. The first mural traces the storied history of the theatre, backed with a striking, shimmering portrait of founder Henry Miller, while the companion piece is an inventive collage of images from Broadway’s heyday drawn from the extensive period archives of the project’s client, the Durst Organization.
