An interactive exhibition showcasing the Star-Spangled Banner, the flag that inspired the national anthem, is at the heart of the National Museum of American History in Washington, DC. The 8,000 square foot experience explores the history of one of the best-known American symbols. One centerpiece is a 15 foot long interactive table where visitors can explore a projected image of the flag to get more information about the famous marks of damage on it that can be seen still today. A system tracks visitor movements and allows them to interact with the projected full-scale images that float on the table.
