This sign program was created as part of the GSA's First Impressions Initiative, undertaken to improve the quality of existing federal buildings and make them more visitor-friendly. The program embraces stainless, mirrored glass and contemporary detailing, while placing consolidated information at key circulation nodes. Several of the signs are etched with constitution-derived entablatures. The program also incorporates touch-screen technology and LEDs to communicate with bilingual and sight-impaired visitors and workers.
