When is a design studio an art gallery? At the "After—Hours" opening reception in the studio one evening last week, art and art lovers took over C&G Partners as friends, family, and designers mingled over prosecco, charcuterie, and beats by DJ Keith Madden. Whether it was animations and films in the conference room, watercolors hung on the closet doors, or immersive installations in the restrooms, all the art was created by C&G staff after hours, reflecting the multidisciplinary professionals that have made C&G their home. And did we mention the prosecco?
Check out the artwork we all made at the After—Hours website.

Who knew: interior designers are the happiest design professionals. The least happy? Architects, apparently.
For AIGA and Google's first annual Design Census 2016, C&G Partners' Maya Kopytman chose an iconic form to illustrate facts about job satisfaction across 17 different design industries. "By applying census data to the length of a smile, we depict designer satisfaction in various industries," describes Maya. “ In some industries designers are happier than others, but overall—we're a happy bunch.”Read More
Alongside a new visual identity for our second decade, we're thrilled to formally announce a new firmwide mission for C&G Partners: Design for culture.
Several years in the making, this it the result of analysis of our own work over the first ten years of our studio, reflection on the world today, and internal discussion of how we can contribute. We are now dedicated to design for culture — from cultural organizations to organizational culture.
We were the first to use the word "multispecialty" to describe a design studio. Now, we are the first to dedicate ourselves to design for culture.
Here is the way we now describe what we do:
We believe in the untapped value of culture, the institutions that enrich it...Read More
