The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) recently announced the winners of its 2012 Justified competition, and we're proud to announce that our recent permanent exhibit for the El Paso Museum of History, Neighborhoods and Shared Memories , is among this years's distinguished winners.
C&G Partners was commissioned by the El Paso Museum of History to help create a unique, constantly changing and adaptable exhibition that explores the evolution of the city's communities and culture. In a way, the object collection here is "community-sourced:" the objects come directly from the members of the communities being celebrated.
C&G; Partners has been retained by MasterCard to conceive a set of environmental installations around four themes: corporate heritage, employee pride, global citizenship and technology and innovation. The project is currently planned to have several phases.
On May 1st, at the annual American Association of Museums conference in Minneapolis, Senior Designer Mariano Desmarás, Chair of the Latino Network Professional Interest Committee (LNPIC), organized and moderated an LNPIC roundtable, where US and Latin American museum professionals discussed avenues for cooperation and common challenges faced by their respective institutions.
Two C&G; exhibition projects were featured this week in the New York Times: Emma Lazarus: Poet of Exiles and John Adams Unbound . The Emma Lazarus project opened recently at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York and was reviewed by Edward Rothstein . The image below appeared with the piece.
