Durst Organization One Bryant Park

The Bank of America headquarters joins the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings as one of Manhattan's tallest skyscrapers. The sign program draws on the cultural and commercial character of Bryant Park, a busy oasis in the heart of the city. For Manhattan's "greenest" skyscraper, signs are crafted from recycled materials and utilize energy-efficient lighting. The selection of classic, modernist lettering styles make the sign system distinctive within the Bank’s headquarters, throughout the restored Stephen Sondheim Theatre, and down the pedestrian arcade that links the two properties. The project has been planned in collaboration with the Durst Organization and Cook + Fox Architects (See a short video about the philosophy behind this innovative building here.)
