This important installation tells the often neglected story of the Negro Baseball League, which experienced some of the greatest unsung heroes of the sport up until the league’s integration with Jackie Robinson in the 1940s.  Covering an extensive exhibit space within MLB’s headquarters, the displays feature an illustrated timeline chronicling the league’s key events, players, and teams; a video wall featuring highlights footage of rare film clips of Negro League contests, and archived interviews of the surviving participants; a display case collage features images of some of the league’s greatest personalities, and official replica uniforms of many of these barnstorming teams.
