C&G Partners conceived, planned, and designed the exhibitions and signage for the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music. BSCAM presents an immersive story of Bruce Springsteen and celebrates American music artists and genres.

The Center serves as the official repository for all materials related to Springsteen and the E Street Band. It also explores American music through exhibitions, concerts, and educational programming that interprets and honors the cultural impact of American music past, present, and future. The new building was designed by architects COOKFOX and is located at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

Exhibitions include eight galleries of rare artifacts, interactive experiences, iconic photography, a hands-on rehearsal studio, and an immersive concert experience.

In the design by C&G Partners, whole walls become Springsteen’s notepad, and whole rooms become his private songwriting studio, his intimate recording space, or the stage of his biggest performances.

The exhibition’s visual language draws from the unique imagery of Bruce Springsteen, inspired by being on the road, being backstage, and writing and recording music.

Graphics are drawn from the spirit of famous album covers, handwritten lyrics, and tour posters, with bold typography in his iconic color scheme of “red, white, and black.”

The American Music Gallery features a number of musical genres with one-of-a-kind artifacts, including Jimi Hendrix’s suede jacket, Elvis’ gold tuxedo, Flavor Flav’s hat, a contract signed by jazz great Sarah Vaughan, and more.

Unique artifacts include famous instruments, garments worn on stage, lyric notebooks, set lists, alternate album covers, early concert posters, and more.

Visitors will see and hear Springsteen through the decades, learn how he evolved as a songwriter, and hear from members of the world-famous E Street Band.
