C&G Partners was tasked with designing the print materials for the grand opening of the building and auditorium additions to the U.S. Naval Institute. The designs were inspired by the donor and environmental graphics created for the interior spaces.

The main motif is a starry night, which evokes the use of celestial navigation for sailors. The graphics are accurate according to a star chart for the night that the Institute opened about 150 years ago. The invite materials include the same color palette and dichroic film of the centerpiece donor wall.
