C&G Partners is developing a new kind of destination experience on a private Hawaiian island. Funded by a notable individual, and designed to be one of the most advanced destinations of its kind in the world, it features a special LED sphere experience about the early Polynesian sea voyages into the unknown.

The LED sphere will provide a 360-degree media experience for a small group, who will board a replica sea-going traditional canoe equipped with hydraulics. On their voyage, they’ll learn the lore of the journey, how to navigate by the traditional Polynesian “star compass,” and how to know when land is near.

The LED sphere is only one part of a large indoor and outdoor cultural attraction being designed by the firm. Other exhibits, theatrical experiences, media installations, and sculptural settings will communicate the history, present, and future of the island in a completely new way, blending technology, nature, and humanity. The project will also feature the cutting-edge environmental, agricultural, and scientific ventures being pursued currently on the island.
